Postdoctoral Position

Postdoctoral Fellowship Position in Virtual Reality and Sexual Health at the University of British Columbia The UBC Sexual Health Research Laboratory at the University of British Columbia is hiring a two-year Postdoctoral Fellow to co-lead a clinical trial evaluating virtual reality exposure as a treatment for vaginismus. This project is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Fellow will join a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, digital health experts, patient partners, a biostatistician, and several trainees. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be co-supervised by Dr. Lori Brotto and Dr. Alan Kingstone. Candidates with prior research experience in virtual reality, sexual health and difficulties, and those with strong methodological and statistical training will be prioritized.

Interested applicants should submit: (1) a cover letter indicating why there is a match between the applicant’s skillset and the job, the date they are available to start in 2024, and the names of 2-3 references; (2) a complete academic CV, and (3) a one-page summary of their research interests, including a brief description of their career plans.
