eSense Scale-Up Study

eSense Scale-Up Study

eSense is an online self-guided program that addresses sexual concerns in women. It consists of two online psychological programs (cognitive-behavioural therapy and mindfulness-based therapy), both of which have been found to be effective in improving women’s sexual health when administered in face-to-face programs. Over the past four years, our team has adapted these treatments to online delivery on a platform that we call eSense.

In the current project, we are partnering with multiple clinics in Canada and the United States to offer eSense to women who are on the wait lists for treatment from a healthcare provider (e.g., sex therapist or physician) for their sexual concerns. The goal of this project is to assess the implementation of eSense. In other words, we aim to examine how eSense is used in the real world and how eSense may fit in with the existing frameworks of clinics. Our eventual goal is to make helpful treatments available for many more women.

We are inviting clinics that offer treatment for women’s sexual concerns to partner with us to collect some basic information from women who contact their clinic and to tell them about this study. If interested in partnering with us or finding out more information, please contact the study coordinator Nisha Marshall at nisha.marshall@cw.bc.ca
