Darya is an MSc student in the UBC Women+ and Children’s Health Sciences (WACH) program under the supervision of Dr. Lori Brotto. She earned her BSc in Biology from UBC in 2024, during which her research explored the use of virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the context of sexual dysfunction. She is excited to continue these interests during her master’s, where she will work with Dr. Brotto at UBC and Dr. David Lafortune at UQAM on a multi-site study examining the efficacy of a one-session VR treatment for individuals experiencing Sexual Aversion Disorder.
