BRIDGE Study

BRIDGE: Building a Clinical Framework for Physiotherapy Management of Genito-Pelvic Pain

Research Purpose:

We are very excited by the increase in high quality physiotherapy research in this area of care and the growing recognition of the role we play. Despite this, novice (and even experienced) physiotherapists can find it challenging to individualize care while remaining in line with the higher quality studies. As such, we are seeking your help to create a consensus treatment framework on the essential components of physiotherapy care so that both physiotherapists and people with genito-pelvic pain may have a better understanding of what treatments should be tried, which may have higher degrees of success while also leaving room for emerging treatments and patient preferences. We are reaching other to you as a physiotherapist who may fit our study criteria and will be snowball sampling other physiotherapists and people with genito-pelvic pain to be a part of our study.

Research procedure:

If you choose to participate in this research study, you will:
(1) Complete a short sign-up form assessing eligibility and consent to participate.
(2) If eligible, you will receive a link to participate in this 3-round online survey (2x 30-60 min and 1x 15-30 min) that will ask you demographic information followed by your input on essential components of physiotherapy care.

– Aim to begin mid June 2026 – contingent on recruitment numbers.
